Extensions with glazing in excess of 25% of the floor area require a SAP Calculation to demonstrate compliance with Building Regulations. If you’re considering an extension and want to include large glazed areas then “whole house” SAP Calculations offer the greatest design flexibility in demonstrating compliance with the requirements.
SAP Calculations are required for all new dwellings which are created as a result of a material change of use. The SAP Calculations are used to demonstrate compliance with Building Regulations. Material changes of use include barn and flat conversions.
